We have experience of designing for self-build projects including work on several projects at Graven Hill, a growing self-build community of up to 1,900 homes in the Oxfordshire town of Bicester. MMC
Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) are becoming increasingly important in the delivery of construction projects large and small. Our director Michael Braband has first hand experience of volumetric modular systems from his work at Unite Modular Solutions and timber frame systems at the likes of Space4 and Sylva.

MMC covers a wide range of off-site manufacturing processes and on-site techniques that provide an alternative to more traditional site focussed building processes. It can include complete buildings - or parts of buildings - being constructed with factory-built volumetric modules or panelised timber and steel frame structures.
Research & Development
Behind each MMC system or solution there usually lies an extensive programme of research and development. Tecbüro can bring extensive knowledge to the design, development and proving process for new and evolving products. Our experience of both architectural technology and design for manufacture and assembly allows us to bridge the sometimes conflicting demands of the off-site and on-site aspects of the delivery process.
